SCHOOL BOARD MEETING
The next meeting of the Lucerne Elementary School District Board of Trustees is Wednesday, June 12, 2013.  Meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. in room C-8.  School Board meetings are open to the public. 
 
STUDENT ID CARDS
Student Identification Cards are available for purchase in the school office. The ID cards are $1.00. Proceeds support Student Body activities.  Get yours now!

PRE-ORDER YOUR SCHOOL YEARBOOK
You may now pre-order yearbooks in the school office. We are pleased to offer, an all-color, hardcover yearbook.  Please make checks payable to Lucerne Elementary School.
Prices are as follows:

8th GRADE GRADUATION
Lucerne Elementary will be holding their 2013, 8th grade graduation on Thursday evening, June 6th, on the North Field.  We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our graduation ceremony.  Parents, students, and community members are encouraged to attend.
Wednesday, June 5th, will be a minimum day for all students. Thursday, June 6th, is the last day of school and will be a minimum day for all students.    Release time for students will be as follows:
    Kindergarten     12:30 p.m.
    Grades 1-3       1:00 p.m.
    Grades 4-8       1:30 p.m.

4th QUARTER AWARDS ASSEMBLY
Principal's Honor Roll, Honor Roll, Penmanship, Perfect Attendance, and Math Facts certificates will be presented to eligible students on June 6th.  All parents, friends, and community members are most welcome to attend.  The awards schedule is as follows:
Kindergarten - 4th:    9:15 a.m.
5th through 8th:    9:45 a.m.
  
NEW IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENT
Pertussis is widespread. If your child 10 years and older has not received the Tdap pertussis booster shot, please contact your doctor or health department. Getting a booster shot now will protect your child against the ongoing threat of pertussis and meet a new school requirement  (California law ~ Assembly Bill 354) Adults are also advised to get a pertussis booster shot, if they haven't already, to protect themselves, their families, and their students.
