Lucerne Elementary School is situated on six and one-half acres.  Lucerne Elementary School is a Kindergarten through eighth grade school that was established in 1923.  The current school site was built in 1974.

Lucerne Elementary offers many extra-curricular activities for our students.  We offer a sports program that includes boys basketball, track and golf.  The girls teams include basketball, track, volleyball and softball.

We offer a GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) program.  One of the activities they enjoy is participation in a Book Club.  Our leadership class meets one day a week, after school, and is very active in the planning and running of many school activities and fundraisers. Some of the activities they plan and host are the fall and spring plays, the Fall carnival, the talent show, and the Winter program.

Annual health screening is available to students, including vision, dental and hearing.  Health and Social Services are available at our school.  A Speech Therapist is available one day a week, and a School Psychologist, three days per week. Lucerne school offers our students services of a full-time counselor and part-time social worker.
